"To winter to remove/With winter to abide"
Emily Dickinson and I are becoming very, very good friends this winter break.
Emily Dickinson and I are becoming very, very good friends this winter break. I've been reading hundreds of pages about her life for my senior project, so I guess you could say that I know almost everything there is to know, which, to be honest, is not that much. The primary form of communication in 1830s-80s Massachusetts was letterwriting, and that's all well and good, but I think I would really benefit from perusing Emily's Notes app or her Screenshot folder in iPhoto. I need to see her to-do lists and shopping lists and shit lists and kiss-count lists from high school. I need to know what she thought of Elon Musk's interview on The Daily yesterday. And I need to know if she liked wearing those uncomfortable-looking-collared-frilly dresses all seasons of the year.
Here are some pictures of notes and annotations from my Comps research, as well as some comics I drew to accompany my college XC team's feature on a D3 Glory Days podcast episode (if you want to see where they were featured, here's a link to the Instagram post).
