I wanted to recommend my six favorite poems that are sharpied on my wall. When I say “favorite,” I mean resonant in a way that goes beyond my own awareness; these poems speak to something inner and strange and wise. Like the other day, I saw Cappuccino the bodega cat loitering around, and the line “You might see an angel anytime and anywhere” (Mary Oliver) popped into my head. Another time, I was prepping for an informational interview, feeling scared and cynical about the idea of “networking” and my general position in life as a 23 year old without a “real” job and the line “Awaken to the mystery of being here and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence” (John O’Donohue) arose from the depths of my subconscious and brought me back. These six poems tend to find me before I find them.
If you have any poems that have a similar significance in your life, I’d be honored to know what they are (in the comments or via email: phoebecomix@gmail.com).

Please like and restack if you feel so inclined. Have a happy Wednesday.
